Off-Brandius
Have you ever thought to yourself “I would love to adopt a vintage Rescue Pets brand pet!” and your mom said “We have rescue pets at home”? Well meet the rescue pets you have at home! After extensive research I have come to the conclusion that I may never find another like her. The tag says it’s from Shalom Toy Co, but I couldn’t find this exact one. Maybe she was never truly sold by them. Maybe she is an eldritch horror beyond our mortal comprehension. If there’s one thing about her that’s for certain, she was an absolute nightmare to refurbish due to having originally been stuffed with styrofoam beads. Did you know they stick to everything and can clog a heavy duty wet/dry vacuum? Luckily for all of us, I managed to get her fully cleaned up (and out) and stuffed with a very soft and floppy feeling polyester stuffing. Please adopt her, every time I make eye contact with the beast I get flashbacks to more styrofoam. So. Much. Styrofoam.

Off-Brandius is a red dog with sad and/or hound dog looking eyes. She started as a Shalom Toy Co brand toy, but she was bought second hand (thrifted) and refurbished to be filled with a soft polyester stuffing. She is red with white paws, black embroidered “paw print” circles, and embroidered yellowish green eyes. She’s roughly 16 inches tall and 12 inches from back paw to paw.
DISCLAIMERS: All stuffed animals are thoroughly cleaned by being de-stuffed, washed multiple times with dawn and then once with a fabric softener, and temporarily left in the sun to dry before they finish the process indoors. He was refurbished in a smoke-free home with pets. If you have any questions about Off-Brandius or any other available plushie, you can reach out to me at secondchancesquared@gmail.com!
